Docomomo International invites researchers and practitioners involved in the preservation, conservation, renovation, or transformation of buildings, sites, and neighborhoods of the Modern Movement to present papers on the theme Modern Futures: Sustainable Development and Cultural Diversity.
30 November 2023 – 12 February 2024* – Call for papers.
Required components for the documents to submit before this date.
Abstract (500 words), written in accordance with the guidelines. Abstracts must include no more than 2 images.
* New abstract deadline: February 12th 2024
- 22 March 2024 – Call for papers’ selection notification.
- 06 May 2024 – Full paper submission deadline (1st version).
Full papers must be sent (with all the components listed below) to 18th International Docomomo Conference, and complete registration must be with full payment for the conference.
Don’t forget that to submit your file, you must first register with Conftool (https://www.conftool.pro/docomomo2024).
Required components for the documents to submit
Full paper (.doc)
Written in accordance with the guidelines, including:
- Abstract (300 words)
- Paper (3000 words, including endnotes, image captions and bibliography)
- Biography of each author (max 100 words each)
- Captions of each image and/or illustration.
- Credits for each image and/or illustration: all should be free of copyrights
- Submission of up to 3 reference images and/or illustrations: 300 dpi (.tiff) in a separate file.

13 May 2024 Deadline for session chairs to return papers with comments to authors, with their revision.
By this date, you will receive your final draft of the paper from your Session Chair with comments that are to be submitted as the final version of the paper.
10 June 2024 Full paper submission deadline (final version).
You must submit to the website link below to upload your manuscripts (final version) that came back from your session chairs with their comments.
Only the authors and co-authors that completed their registration and payment for the Conference before this date will have their papers published.

If the author does not fulfill these schedules and guidelines, the Organizing Committee reserve the right to withdraw his/her paper from the programme and the Proceedings.
The 2024 conference will be held only in presential format. The digital proceedings will be published in 2024 before the conference.
